Who we are
Matchday Pulse (matchdaypulse.co.uk) is the data controller for personal data collected through the Service. This policy follows the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact us by email at matchdaypulse.uk@outlook.com, or via X or Facebook.
What we collect and why
- Account details (email, name/photo from Google if you use it, chosen club) — to run your account. Basis: contract.
- Subscription records (Stripe customer and subscription IDs, plan, status) — to provide PRO and meet tax/accounting duties. Basis: contract and legal obligation. Card details are handled by Stripe, never by us.
- Usage counters (AI generations, fixture views) — to apply plan limits. Basis: contract.
- Push notification token and club — only if you turn on match alerts. Basis: consent; turn it off any time in your browser or phone settings.
- Waitlist email — if you join a waitlist. Basis: consent.
- Questions you ask the AI — sent to our AI provider to produce an answer. Please don’t include personal or sensitive information.
- Anonymous data — poll votes and match reactions use a random ID or aggregate totals, not your identity.
- Data stored on your device — club choice, dismissed pop-ups, a hashed PIN and Face ID/fingerprint key reference. These stay on your device and are strictly necessary for features you choose. We do not use advertising cookies.
Who processes it
We use trusted providers who act on our instructions: our hosting and database provider (Lovable Cloud), Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Google Firebase (push notifications) and our AI model provider. Some may process data outside the UK under approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Payment records are kept for 6 years for UK tax law. Push tokens are removed when they stop working or you ask us.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, export or restrict your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Email matchdaypulse.uk@outlook.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will update the date above when this policy changes. See also our Terms of Service.
